The smooth transition between the kindergarten and the two elementary schools, as well as close cooperation, enable a holistic learning environment. Our team attaches great importance to a successful and individual acclimatization in the nursery and kindergarten area.
Our daycare center works according to the situation-oriented approach, which means that the children's lives should be based on situations that offer the opportunity to let children think and act in a self-determined and competent manner. The starting point of all pedagogical approaches is the child with its current play and learning needs, its current stage of development and its social situation in the group. The child and his or her needs are our top priority. He or she should feel comfortable and secure.
The situational approach means holistic learning in contexts in which all dimensions of perception and experience (cognitive, sensory, physical, emotional, individual and social) and expression (linguistic, motoric, musical, creative) are included and in which children can participate voluntarily, self-motivated or externally motivated without pressure to perform and without controls.
Eating meals together in a quiet atmosphere has a special significance in our facility. We offer the children health-conscious, balanced and varied all-day meals from our own kitchen. In addition, we have set ourselves the goal of awakening in the children the joy of healthy eating and to apply the knowledge they have acquired themselves.
Daycare children are still at the beginning of their language development. For us, language education that is integrated into everyday life means that we pay attention to child-friendly language teaching in everyday interaction. Playfully introducing our children to the English language is part of our everyday life.
In the first place of our work is the respect for dignity and personality. In our day care center the children should feel comfortable and come with joy. We have a listening, observing and understanding role towards the child. The educators take the needs, interests and wishes of the children seriously and make them the starting point of their daily work. Each teacher observes, documents and reflects on the learning processes in order to better understand the child and to further develop the child's personality.
The educators also have the important task of working with the children to create a stimulating learning environment that challenges the children every day. From the observations, the situations that are important for the children are derived and from this the pedagogical activities are planned. First and foremost, the educators are partners and confidants of the children.
Communication and media skills allow our children to become real explorers and discoverers, with creativity and imagination, in a society that they themselves help to shape. We provide our children with learning situations that are varied and arouse curiosity, taking into account the individuality of each child and focusing on existing abilities.
Education and learning in childhood occur primarily through play. Play is the child's main acquisition activity and provides playful access to the world. Children open up their surrounding world through play. Play is the preparation for life. It requires certain competencies, which also form the basis for school readiness. Children do not distinguish whether they are playing or learning. The two form an inseparable unit. Children decide for themselves when to play, where to play, with other play partners, and for how long. Through play, they effectively learn their social, emotional, motor and cognitive skills. As a daycare center, we lay the foundation for lifelong learning.
The familiarization phase for our future daycare children begins 4 weeks in advance of the actual entry. Likewise, taster and get-to-know offers are organized by our team. We want to make the children entrusted to us curious about life. The desire and joy of discovery is important in order to promote all competencies in a holistic way from an early age.
In our daycare center we work according to a partially open principle, which means:
the children can choose in which of the 3 group rooms they would like to play
breakfast together in one of the group rooms
Offers (once or twice a month across groups)
Play and the offers for all together - the children can choose where they want to play
In all of our facilities, there is an individual familiarization and getting-to-know-your-child offer. Regardless of whether it is a toddler, a kindergarten child or an after-school child: we offer an entry or transition phase geared to the child in order to create a positive atmosphere right from the start and to make it easier for the children to get to know each other.
