Fall festival

On October 10, we celebrated our fall festival in our facility. Each child brought a basket of seasonal fruit and vegetables which they decorated beautifully. The baskets were then discussed in the individual groups and the fruit and vegetables were tasted. After a small celebration, which was different for each group, the kindergarten children walked to the farm. The mobile cidery was located there. We were told how the juice was extracted from the fruit, in this case apples, and the children were allowed to taste both the "cotton candy" that was produced and the juice. We were also given a canister of juice as a gift. We then had a look at the tractors in the country inn and collected all the chestnuts the tree had to offer. Then we walked back to the nursery.

Over the course of the week, each group worked on the baskets and ate them at the end. The vegetables were used to make potato soup and pumpkin soup together for lunch. The Birds cut out the fruit and vegetables from their basket, colored them in and created a new fruit basket on the page. The children were able to learn lots of old and new things about fruit and vegetables. They also tried a lot of things they didn't know and then found them good or bad. In any case, the children enjoyed the baskets for a very long time and often snacked on healthy food.
