On Tuesday, 17.09.2024, we celebrated our autumn festival. Each child had brought a basket of seasonal fruit and vegetables to try, which were tasted in the individual groups.
The children had already spent the previous week working on the topic of fall and which fruits and vegetables are typical. For example, they made a huge fruit and vegetable basket in German and English to determine what they belonged to.
Each group then celebrated for itself at the fall festival. We also looked at what the different fruit and vegetables looked like and how they tasted and smelled. During the week, we cooked a pumpkin soup together with the children and made chips from the potatoes and sweet potatoes. The children were excited to cook in the children's kitchen, where they could reach everything and were allowed to work independently.

The week before, the children had already dealt with the subject of autumn and which fruits and vegetables are typical. For example, a giant fruit/vegetable basket was made, where the identity was determined, in German and English.
For the autumn festival, each group celebrated for itself. Furthermore, we looked at the different fruits and vegetables, how they taste and smell. During the week, we cooked a pumpkin soup together with the children and made fries out of the potatoes and sweet potatoes. The children were enthusiastic about cooking in the children's kitchen, where they could achieve everything and were allowed to work independently.
